Umbertoecho here.
by umbertoecho inhello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.
helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.
i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

Thoughts on letter to siblings
by azor ini will be sending a letter to all my siblings in the next couple of weeks, and wanted everyone's take on it.
the primary purpose of this letter is to pave the way for a limited relationship.
i want to invite them to my son's celebration for finishing his leukemia treatment.
-

Just my personal viewpoint - based on what my own J.W. family's reaction to your wording would be.
An editing of your letter:
"I hope this correspondence finds you all well. I'm writing here to reach out for a relationship with my family. I love you all, I worry about you, and want nothing but the best for you as I am sure you feel the same for me. I believe we are all grown up enough to show respect for one another as human beings. Kids after all are only kids once in their life.
I was hoping my children could have relationships with Aunts, and Uncles that I was not privileged to have growing up. Much of this due to petty differences between our parents and their siblings. I now know where that judgmentalism stems from. I know you all have your opinions about what happened with my family. You are likely partially correct. Almost losing Adin to leukemia played a large part.
All of this being said I value peace as well, and hope we can all continue to be family. I have waited to write all of you until Adins treatment neared it's completion. As I am planning a party to celebrate the completion of his treatment that I would like you all to attend.
I respectfully request that you keep this within our immediate family so as not to further harm our Mom, Me, Ruthy, and My Children. The only grandparent my children can have a relationship with. I am not my child's owner just a steward."
Sometimes less is more! I hope you achieve your goal, and have a wonderful family celebration.

My First post
by Simple Minds ini have been lurking on this site for 3 years and this is my fist post.
i would like to thank everyone for helping me wake up.
i was baptized at 24, married at 25, ms for 18 years mentally in for 24 years but started to wake up 3 years ago doing research to give public talks, and the actions of arrogant and narcissistic brothers and sisters did not help.

Welcome Simple Minds. Your story is a sad one - but your life can only improve now that you're awakened. Basically you are at a fork in the road; you can either send such a letter to the elders, or employ the adage, "Least said, soonest mended."
My personal choice is the latter, because if you give the wolves a bone, they'll never let it go!
I'd never put anything in writing to the elders. Why give them such ammunition? I would be polite and reasonable by personally thanking one of the elders who wants to visit me, and briefly state that "due to private & personal concerns which I'm having to deal with, I'd rather not have the shepherding call at present, and that the offer is appreciated. If things change, I'll let you know."
A person's information & thinking are what these vampires thrive on. Why volunteer to give them what they need?
I wish you well with the wedding, and with your choices when dealing with the "ravenous wolves."

p.s. Do you think that the elders' wives will not hear about any of the details you put in your letter? Take care.

Steven Lett asks for money again
by Gorbatchov inthe 2016 january tv.jw.org broadcasting has a clear message: jw.org needs more money!.
the 2 months of donation increase is not enough: the thousands of projects are not a 2 month project.. so: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (heh heh heh) and send us more!
personal conclusion: if i had any doubts that the society is sincere, this openly money grabbing has made my perception complete.
-

Paraphrased from about the 12 minute mark - "The Israelites only had one project to finance and build, but the Corp. has thousands - keep sending us your cash!"
Videos like this by Stephen Lett are doing more damage to the Corp's credibility than all of the "apostate" web sites put together!!
Thank you Magnificent 7, the faithful are rapidly being convinced by your "Brooklyn's Got Talent" propaganda that their beloved religion and hierarchy are starting to smell very badly.

Romans 6:7
by Jerryh in*** w74 10/1 pp.
607-608 questions from readers ***.
romans 6:7 reads: for he who has died has been acquitted from his sin.
-
The Searcher
JERRYH - take 5 minutes and read verses 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, & 11 to discern the true context of Paul's wording, "he who has died has been acquitted of sin."
If you stick with the Corporation's (formerly known as the Org!) literal interpretation, then you walk into a minefield from which you cannot extract yourself unscathed.
If the Corp's version is true, then the following must also be true:
1) We have 2 ways to wipe out our sins - Christ's death and our own. So Christ needn't have died, because every human who has ever died, automatically wiped out their own evil deeds in life, simply by ceasing to breathe!
2) Nine Scriptures reveal that the dead will be judged by Christ Jesus; John 5:28,29, Acts 10:42, Acts 17:31, Romans 14:9, 2 Cor. 5:10, 2 Tim. 4:1, 1 Pet. 4:5, Rev. 11:18 & 20:12.
If a person's own death has acquitted them of their sins, on what basis can Jesus now judge them? He has no right to do so, because they've been acquitted - declared "not guilty." http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/acquitted
The Corp's perverted doctrines regarding Roman 6:7, blaspheme every aspect of the ransom sacrifice - for believers.

Gotta love the ministry. LOL.
by Sabin inyou know how you go to the mid-week meeting & it is all about field service, how you can improve, do more etc.
do you remember how they would say things like..... "you get up brothers & you really don't feel like going out today, you look out of the window & the weathers just not good, then you look in the mirror & you say to yourself, i don't feel so good today.
you know your looking for an excuse not to go cause it's tough to get motivated on your 1 day off.

I reckon you're right - it was simply the good feeling to know that you'd clocked up more hours for your monthly time sheet. I only knew one person in my previous congregation who openly declared that they loved the ministry - and he wasn't a pioneer.
What's the #1 question which J.W.'s ask an Auxiliary Pioneer? "Have you started any Bible Studies?" "Have you had any nice witnessing experiences?," or even, "Are you enjoying it?"
Nope - it's "How are your hours doing?"
Witnessing is all about the hours for their monthly report to the vast majority of J.W.'s - preaching is secondary!

Menrov said - "The congregation as a whole is responsible for maintaining it "clean", ALL of them, not via a few people who believe they are the judge of the congregation."
Exactly what the Bible says - as opposed to the Org's perverted kangaroo courts which consist of "3 wolves in sheep's clothing."
(Matthew 18:15-17) "Moreover, if your brother commits a sin...........If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation.
(1 Timothy 5:20) "Reprove before all onlookers [within the Christian congregation] persons who practice sin, that the rest [of the congregation] also may have fear."

Christian Family Gets 5 Children Taken Away by Gov't for Teaching God Punishes Sin
by GodZoo inchild welfare services in norway have reportedly removed five christian children from their parents' home and placed them into foster care after the parents were accused of radicalizing and indoctrinating their children with christianity.. according to the british-based christian institute, norway's child protection services, known as the barnevernet, seized the three sons and two daughters of ruth and marius bodnariu in mid-november.. .
although the family wasn't quite sure at the time why their children were being taken away from them, their lawyer discovered that the parents were being charged with christian indoctrination.http://www.christianpost.com/news/christian-family-gets-5-children-taken-away-by-govt-for-teaching-god-punishes-sin-151693/.

It doesn't look like the Barnevernet has ever heard of the Org's Paedophile Protection Scheme, aka "the two witness rule" or "not bringing Jehovah's name into disrepute."
Perhaps J.W.'s in Norway will now have other reasons to fear for their children!

My very close relative is in exactly this situation.
The family's decision? To politely but point-blank refuse to "meet with the elders" to discuss the relationship.
Boy, are those elders really screwed up now!! Their "power & authority" has been exposed as nothing but a bubble to the congregation.
The sheep in that K.H. now know that the elders cannot force anyone to sit in the same room as them!
Tell your friend to do the same - "Thank you for asking, but there's nothing personal which I want to discuss with anyone at the moment. I appreciate your motives. Goodbye"
